AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – The debut of Six Flags New England’s newest rollercoaster has been delayed to next year.
Originally slated to open on Friday, June 20, the Quantum Accelerator‘s launch has been postponed to 2026, the park announced on Tuesday.

Billed as New England’s first dual-launch straddle coaster, the ride promises high-speed thrills with a unique motorcycle-style seating position and two powerful launches—one forward and one backward—before sending riders through 2,604 feet of track at speeds up to 45 miles per hour.
Designed to provide 11 moments of airtime along with sharp curves and a dramatic over-90-degree banked turn, the coaster offers a compact but adrenaline-charged experience. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall and no taller than 6 feet 5 inches.
A new opening date has not yet been determined.
