The Television Academy has announced the class of inductees for its 27th Hall of Fame: Viola Davis, Conan O’Brien, Ryan Murphy, Henry Winkler, Don Mischer and Mike Post.
“All six honorees have elevated the art of storytelling and have had an extraordinary influence on television culture and history,” said Rick Rosen, chair of the Hall of Fame selection committee. “Their transformative leadership and innovative work have made a lasting impact on the medium, and the Television Academy is proud to honor their legacy.”
The 2025 honorees join more than 150 others who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since its inception in 1984. The Hall of Fame honors those who have made invaluable contributions to the television industry over a lifetime or through singular achievements. Individuals from all professions, including actors, directors, producers, comedians, animators, journalists, executives and below-the-line artisans are eligible to be recognized.
“These trailblazing performers, creators and producers have left an indelible mark on our industry. Their groundbreaking work has shaped and elevated the television landscape in profound ways,” added Cris Abrego, chair of the Television Academy. “We are honored to welcome these legends into the Hall of Fame.”
Along with Rosen, the 2025 Hall of Fame selection committee included the president of 20th Television Karey Burke; producer Marcy Carsey; chairman of Universal Studio Group Pearlena Igbokwe; former chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Peter Roth and former CBS Entertainment chairperson and producer Nina Tassler.
The members of the 27th class will be officially inducted during the Hall of Fame ceremony during the Televerse Festival on Saturday, Aug. 16.
